This paper Teaching in the Anthropocene: Navigating Educational Realities in Times of Crisis explores how storytelling can serve as a pedagogical tool in the context of climate action and the Anthropocene.

Drawing on SWISP Lab’s “tipping point” stories, developed in collaboration with the Science Gallery Network, the paper highlights how personal, intergenerational, and culturally grounded narratives reveal the pluriversal realities of living in climate crisis. These stories range from educational experiences to accounts of displacement and loss, offering a textured, human-centred lens on planetary change. In doing so, the chapter calls for a rethinking of science education, emphasising the role of collective storytelling in navigating the complexities of our ecological present.
