Has 2020 left you bored to distraction? Bored silly? Bored to tears? Do you find yourself mindlessly scrolling down your social media feed but Likes, Shares and Retweets don’t do it for you anymore? Are you craving a genuine connection? This year has challenged us to stay home in order to stay healthy, presenting issues of isolation, apathy, disconnection and boredom - a phenomenon that evokes a multitude of emotions in us, each of us responding in different ways. How can we shake off the lethargy and play together in a world that's moving apart? Science Gallery is calling for young people across the global network to come together to exchange ideas, and create and collaborate in a BOREDOM REBELLION.
Do you enjoy creating, producing, tinkering, ideating, building, connecting and sharing? Are you looking for a space to upturn the status quo? We are looking for proposals for workshops and events run by young people for young people. If you are between 18-30 years of age and have been working on something exciting you would like to share with the world – this is the place for you.
Please note that we are using a new system – called Submittable – to accept open call submissions. If you had an account with us on our old system, you will need to create a new account with Submittable in order to submit to current and future open calls.
Open call closes on 6th November, 2020 11:59 PM EST. Results start 16th November, 2020.
